Big Hitters is passionate about contributing to the growth of cricket in New Zealand. We started in 2016 with 60 children and now coach approximately 250 each week across the Canterbury region in the summer months.
We are focused on achieving three outcomes:
Engaging more children at an early age in the game (pre-schoolers)
Increasing junior participation
Developing the skills of teams/individuals
Here's how we do it:
Tiny Taylors
Preschool Programme (3-5 years) We work with preschools and offer a flexible term based programme. This introduces children to basic ball skills and develops their confidence and coordination while having fun with their friends. Click here to find out more...
Little Kane's
Junior Club Programme (3-7 years)
We offer clubs a junior programme introducing children to the game. Our experienced coaches understand the importance of building a foundation of skills and teamwork that will ensure the children transition smoothly into club grade cricket. Click here to find out more...
